These Terms of Service were written by BudgetFlow AI's founder, not a lawyer. They're an honest attempt to set clear expectations for an early-access product - not a substitute for professional legal advice.
Agreement
By creating an account or using BudgetFlow AI, you agree to these terms. If something here doesn't work for you, please don't use the service, or contact us before you do.
The service
BudgetFlow AI is a personal finance and receipt-scanning workspace. It is currently free during early access. We expect to introduce paid plans later, but no payment system exists yet, and we will give notice before anything changes from free to paid.
Early-access beta
BudgetFlow AI is beta software provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee uptime, and we don't guarantee that receipt scanning or parsing will always be accurate - always double-check extracted totals and items, especially for receipts from outside Portugal or from vendors we don't recognize yet. We don't claim bank-level security or formal security certification.
Your account
You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your password secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Accounts are for individual personal use, one account per person.
Acceptable use
Don't use BudgetFlow AI for anything illegal, don't try to access another user's account or data, don't attempt to disrupt, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service in ways that could harm it or other users, and don't upload receipts or content you don't have the right to share.
Your content
You keep ownership of the financial data and receipts you upload. You grant us only the limited right needed to store and process that content in order to run the app for you. We do not sell your content to third parties, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.
Ending your account
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings; doing so deletes your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or misuse the service.
No warranty, limited liability
To the extent the law allows, BudgetFlow AI is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, financial decisions you make using the app, or data loss. BudgetFlow AI does not provide professional financial, tax, or legal advice.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves during early access. We'll update the date at the top when we do, and continued use after a change means you accept the update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without taking away any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the laws where you live.
